Career

Whilst the majority of SWIMS graduates go into academia (approx. 32%) many of SWIMS graduates find employment in HK SAR Government organizations (23% of SWIMS graduates), especially the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department and the Environmental Protection Department. Many SWIMS graduates are involved in marine conservation and management working for consultancies (approx 12%) or NGOs and green groups (approx 10%), and therefore play a direct role in the field; whereas many play an indirect role in teaching (approx. 7%).
